Growing Basics
Fundamentals of cannabis cultivation – from lighting to harvest and pest control.
Growing cannabis is a mix of craftsmanship, science and patience. As a licensed cultivation association, we know from experience that the difference between a good and a bad harvest lies in the details — light, temperature, humidity, nutrients and the right timing for every step.
Our growing articles are aimed at beginners and advanced growers alike. They cover the basics of indoor cultivation: lighting technology (LED vs. HPS vs. CMH), ventilation and climate control, substrates and nutrient management, pest control, drying and curing. All content is based on our practical experience as a CSC and on current specialist literature.
Important: In Germany, home growing of a maximum of three female cannabis plants per person has been permitted since April 2024. Separate rules apply for communal growing through a cultivation association. The legal foundations can be found in our legal category.
